Joyful & relaxing breastfeeding and newborn care is possible!

Our comprehensive breastfeeding class will support you to get the Smoothest start possible to your breastfeeding relationship! 

We will cover:

  • everything you need to know to care for your baby in the early hours, days, & weeks after birth

  • how to initiate lactation to nourish your baby

  • empower yourself to reach your breastfeeding goals!

  • How to avoid the common issues of lactation

  • How to overcome any difficulties so that you choose how long you want to breastfeed and can decide what feels right for your family!

Classes are 1.5 hours once per week

Wednesday Evenings  7 - 8:30 pm

Partners and support people are welcome and encouraged to join!

  • Transforming into Parents - postpartum emotional & physical changes

  • How can family, partners & support people help?

  • Initiating Breastfeeding - How do I get started after the birth of my baby?

  • Newborn Baby Cues - How will I know what my baby needs?

  • Hunger - How will I know when or how often to feed my baby?

  • Crying - How do I calm my baby and what can I do when they cry?

  • Satiation - How do I know when a feed is done and when my baby is full?

Break

  • Positioning - How can I stay comfortable when breastfeeding?

  • Latching - What does a good latch look like?

  • Drinking - How do I know when my baby is drinking?

  • Growth - How do I know my baby is getting enough milk?

  • Development - How long will it be until my baby can…?

  • Parenting together - How will our relationship grow & change?

  • Self-care - How can I get enough sleep while caring for my baby?

  • Nurturing Nutrition -  Nutritious meals and snacks to support breastfeeding parents & family wellness

2023 Childbirth Classes are 2h once per week: Sunday Afternoons  2-4 pm
